The Uliveto Restaurant was founded in the summer of 2013 by Salvo Crisafulli’s desire to return to his own land after years of intense wandering around the world in search of new culinary experiences.

The restaurant is located among the olive trees in the Alcantara River Park, a wide valley full of colors and scents, where you can get away from everyday life and enjoy the atmosphere and flavors of our land.

Quality and tradition are characteristics that distinguish our kitchen.
The goal is to create a meeting point between the most typical recipes of our land and innovation, giving life to dishes that meet every type of customer. The kitchen uses carefully selected local products, respecting the seasonality.

The Chef and his love for food

My name is Salvo Crisafulli, I am 36 years old, and I am the chef at Ristorante Uliveto.

Since adolescence I have shown interest in cooking, first observing my mother cooking, then reproducing her recipes.
This interest turned into passion only later, when, after finishing my studies, I started working in the kitchen of one of the best known hotels in the area, “Hellenia Yachting Hotel” in Giardini Naxos, where I acquired the foundations of my training.

My career continues at important facilities such as “Grand Hotel Mazzaro Sea Palace” and “Atlantis Bay” of Taormina.

With the desire to make new experiences and approach different cultures, I decided to move to London for a year.

Back in Sicily, I worked for two seasons at “Il Principe Cerami“, the restaurant of San Domenico Palace Hotel in Taormina, run by chef Massimo Mantarro and awarded two Michelin stars.

The most important stage of my career was the period spent in Barcelona, ​​Spain.

From the six years spent there, in contact with a Mediterranean cuisine, very similar to ours but despite everything different, comes the idea of ​​returning to my land with a concept of my own kitchen: reinventing the memories and recipes of my Sicilian childhood, enriching them with the fruits of my experiences.

We are just minutes from the Alcantara Gorges,
from the beaches of Giardini Naxos and the splendid Taormina.


The restaurant is located in the Muscianò Cupparo fraction of the Municipality of Graniti (directions and Google map), a few minutes from the Alcantara Gorges, the beaches of Giardini Naxos and the renowned Taormina.

The large internal room and the outdoor area, including a relaxation area with a garden, offer the possibility to organize events and banquets. The property also has a children’s play area and an outdoor car park.

The restaurant offers a rich selection of wines and a wide range of typical dishes with different gastronomic solutions.
